Paros Island is world known for windsurfing and is considered by many as
one of the best spots in the Greek islands.
The island, as most of the islands in the Cyclades, offers ideal weather
conditions with the blessing of the Meltemi in the summer months (the
local Cycladic wind).
For that reasons, Paros was chosen by the PWA (Professional Windsurfers
Association) and each year, since 1993, the beach of New Golden Beach
welcomes the World Cup.
It is the only professional race in Greece and its takes place in
early August.
There are plenty of windsurfing areas all over the island and some
of them are fully organised, proposing rentals and courses.

Windsurf Club
The Fanatic Fun Center in Paros is the result of the many years
of experience in windsurfing and safety matters combined with the
excellent quality of the equipment offered.
There are about 60 fully rigged sails at our customers disposal
starting from as small as 3,2 sq. meters for stormy days, up to
8,5 sq. meters for low wind days. Most of the riggs are made by
NORTH SAILS.

Lessons are available for all level of sailors. From gybe clinics
to novice and children's beginning lessons our staff are experienced,
patient teachers.
Most hold certifications from their home countrys and many have
or currently compete in a variety of disciplinces of windsurfing.
Lessons are offered in one hour increments. You may take just one
lesson or book a series.

Paros Surf Club operates in Paros island
since 1984 and runs a highly equipped Surf club
at New Golden Beach, the windiest spot of the
island.
The Club offers a full windsurfing rental service,
including professional tuition for beginners,
intermediate and advanced sailors.
Other sea-sports, such as wake-board, water-ski,
kneeboard, banana and tubes, as well as PAROS
DIVING and mountain bikes' rental are also available.
The Club is equipped with the latest full product range
of F2 boards and Arrows rigs every season. All equipment
is brand new and is being replaced every year.
