It offers beautiful golden sandy beaches and a beautiful capital called Kastro. “Kastro” means “castle” in Greek. Kastro is a traditional white painted village and stands around the ruins of an ancient Venetian Castle.
The island is also known for its impressive caves.
The island can be reached by caique(little boat) from the port of Parikia.

-
The Church of Panagia Ekatontapiliani. It is a beautiful church considered as one of the most important Byzantine monuments of Paros and even Greece. It is located near the port of Parikia.
It is said that the church was built by St. Helena, the mother of the first Christian Emperor Constantine.
- The Kastro (castle) is situated in the centre of Parikia, in the old quarter. Only one wall remains today. There are many beautiful churches in that area.
